Employment and research experience

Associate Professor of physiology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Cagliari, carries out is teaching activity on Physiology of Nutrition for the students of Biological Sciences.

His scientific activity focuses mainly on changes of lipid metabolism in relation to different dietary fattyacids and its implication in some pathological states. In particular his interest is more concentrated on the biological activity of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).

For this research he obtained several grants from American agencies such as National Cattlemen and Beef Association and Dairy Management Inc., from the EU under the concerted action program.
